My bud, Chris McLoughlin, informed me this week that Google's come out with a great new enhancement for their GMail service: Tasks. Yup, they finally came through. He pointed out to me where to find it... and I would definitely check it out!
Where you find it: on the very top menu bar, to the left of "Settings."
How it Works
- You can click anywhere in the list and hit Enter to insert a new task.
Use the arrow keys to move around in the list. - Delete a task by deleting the text and hitting backspace
- You can reorder your tasks using the keyboard and/or the mouse
Ctrl+Up moves a task up the list. Ctrl+Down move it down - You can Indent
- You can create a task from an email. From Gmail's More Actions menu, click Add To Tasks. If you have keyboard shortcuts enabled, you can use Shift+t instead.
- You can even attach a due date to them by clicking on the > and inserting the date
Have fun... this will be a must have for anyone using GMail.
