Facebook now offers a username feature, making it easier for people to personally brand themselves. Friends or co-workers will now be able to checkout your profile just by typing in facebook.com/YOURUSERNAME. This is a lot more intuitive and logical than putting in a disparate string of letters or some tiny url sequence, people will have an easy-to-remember way to find you on Facebook. It also will be a great feature to include on business cards as well.
Once you get your new Facebook personalize URL you can begin to build out your profile with updates and such.
ONE CAVEAT: Think carefully about the username you choose because once it’s been selected, you won’t be able to change or transfer it.
